SAS COVID Update - Week of March 21st-25th

Dear St. Amelia Families, Teachers and Support Staff,

Please review our latest COVID update for the week of March 21-25, 2022.

The school will continue its multi-layered approach to mitigate the spread of any illness in the building. The St. Amelia School COVID procedures and guidelines are posted on our COVID resource page on the school website.

Please be advised that there are updates to the close contacts and quarantine information for a school setting, highlighted in blue on this document.

During the week of March 21-25th we had one case of COVID-19 on campus.

A reminder that we did receive our LSL license and as a result, our school nurse, Mrs. Kibler, will be able to test, with parent permission, students who exhibit mild symptoms of COVID-19. Mrs. Kibler will call the parent/guardian(s) for verbal permission. If the student is negative, he/she will be permitted to return to class. Students who exhibit a fever, are vomiting and/or have a severe headache will be sent home.

All students, parents, guardians, and siblings should continue to monitor their health for symptoms of COVID-19 and follow the guidelines from the Department of Health. If your child is ill or experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19, please keep your child at home and contact your medical provider for assistance.

Please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Katie McIntyre at kmcintyre@stameliaschool.org, if you have any questions about the updated policies.

Thank you and God Bless,

Mrs. Katie McIntyre, Principal
